..........FUN! I know that it's the obvious but sometimes people forget that. I understand that drama will happen, it does when you are dealing with a large group, but at the end of the day, it should be fun. And fun for everyone! I believe that if someone isn't having fun with a role play then someone is doing something wrong, at least that's how I play. I often ask people I play with if they are having fun and if they aren't I try to turn the role play into something fun for them.
But yeah, that's my 2 cents on the matter.

I totally agree! Fun is key, being around friends, puttering around with rules and seeing new ways of getting to the same point are some of the ways I have fun. Umm.. oh yes! and plotting, can't forget polotting *nods*

Obviously fun is the goal, but then the question becomes "what is fun?". For me, this is a mix of social RP (including sexual stuff on occasion but not to excess) and exciting, possibly dangerous adventures and storylines. It's really difficult for me to stay interested in a game that has only one or even neither of these things. I either get burned out or just bored. This is why I've often left games for months or years at a time or on occasion for good.
