Wayward Inn Constitution
Player Rights and Expectations
Members of the Wayward Inn community have the right to:
Take an active hand in the development of the game for the indefinite future.
Be treated with fairness and mutual respect, regardless of any other factors.
Expect impartial advocacy by those members in authority in disputes between players with the knowledge that those in authority are merely players with responsibility, and may make mistakes at times.
Publicly or privately question, on the forums, any judgments made by staff, and expect a full and complete explanation within a reasonable time frame.
Play their character freely in the Wayward Inn channels with as few restrictions as possible.
A civil conversation from all members of the community, regardless of IC or OOC authority, with the knowledge they they, in turn, are expected to be civil to all other members.
Have their character returned to play after three days of being dead regardless of circumstances or in character disagreements. No staff will refuse a resurrection for personal reasons.
Members o f the wayward inn community are expected to:
Understand that the restrictions on play that are placed in the game are there for the betterment of the game and to increase the enjoyment of all players
Help create roleplay that is enjoyable for those involved. It should be done with proper consideration and courtesy to avoid ruining others' play for the sake of their own.
Disagree politely, and accept the final verdict if all evidence supports it.
Treat others with respect and dignity
Respect the opinions of others in regard to the future of the game, and reinforce their own ideas with logic and work.
Understand that this game is evolving and that some changes to the game or these Bill of Rights may be necessary from time to time
Staff Responsibilities and Expectations
Members of the Wayward Inn staff are afforded all the rights of other players, and inherit all the expectations of other players as well. But with these responsibilities there also comes the expectation to:
Understand that they are, in the end, players like every other member of the community and subject to all the same expectations.
Understand that positions on staff are responsibilities, not honors, and grant the staff no special privileges or immunities.
Be responsible for ensuring that no player's rights are violated in any way, by any person.
Be fair and unbiased. If they are unable to do this in a certain situation, they are expected to ask another member of the staff with the appropriate authority to take over.
Our goal for the Wayward Inn community is to create a friendly community revolving around fun role play in the Wayward Inn channels and elsewhere. Members are expected to, in turn, be civil and kind to others for as long as they wish to remain in the community.
